The #777 bus and two of our LifeHealth Reboot members travelled to connect with the community of Queenstown Monday 8th to Wednesday 10th Aug. Smooth driving all the way and the wheels of the bus went round and round without a hitch and Karl the driver did a great job in getting us there.
What a delightful drive through the old towns of the West Coast, so much splendor and beauty in this wilderness part of our state of Tasmania.
Our first stop for a break and to connect with some of the locals of the township of Tullah.
Tullah is a town in the northern part of the West Coast Range, on the West Coast of Tasmainia, about 111 km south of Burnie. The town has a population of approximately 160 people.

Locals are beautiful people in Tullah, very friendly, receptive and always appreciative of our work. Even though our time was only short our presence was welcome by the locals and good contacts had been made.
Next stop Zeehan - a quick diversion before Queenstown to meet up with some previous contacts. We were excited to see them filming a movie. Even though they did not ask us to be in the film, because they could truly see some talent, we did roam around and talk to some of the staff and actors, Karl even talked to a Horse.
This former mining boom town lays at the bottom of a wild valley full of rain-forests and hills. The town was built in 1800's with funds from an economic explosion after tin, silver and lead were discovered. It became a refined wild west town for Tasmania's west coast region; entertaining and housing rugged Victorian-era miners.

While in Zeehan we visited some contacts from previous trips, they enjoy our time when we visit with them especially when we can help them with personal issues they are facing.
Karl talking to the horse or was the horse talking to Karl.... Hmmmm. Either way they look in deep conversation. Wonder what they talked about? Actually the horse did look depressed so probably needed some good counselling.
Then we headed off to our destination - Queenstown.
The Gateway to Tasmania's West Coast The gateway to the west is an eerie, rugged and alluring moonscape. Queenstown is surrounded by the scars of its rugged mining history. Right at the western edge of Tasmania's World Heritage Wilderness Area, lay an ethereal moonscape of stripped hills and mountains. Logging and copper mining in the early 1900's have left Queenstown's surroundings bare, colourful and beautiful.

Our first aim was to visit the businesses of Queenstown and share with them our purpose for visiting the town for this and future visits. We were able to connect with almost all of the businesses and they were so appreciative of the work LifeHealth Reboot had to offer. Many informed us that there was such lack of the services, that we provide, in that town and surrounding regions. One lady we met was over joyed when she heard what we had to say that she become quite emotional.
As we went from business to business we had the privilege of handing out some gift bags which contained a couple of books - Live more Happy by Dr Darren Morton and Just the Facts by Dr Arlene Taylor, leaflets and brochures and some goodies to eat.
The first five people to contact us by email we will sent a copy of one of the books of your choice. info@lifehealthreboot.com.au
We had the privilege of networking with Queenstown Rural Health. They invited us to partake of events they were holding in the future and to interact with them when we do our visits to Queenstown. Furthermore, they invited us to the Neighbourhood House in Rosebery and asked us to make contact with a gentlemen who lived there that may need our services, in which Karl had the privilege to do so on the way back home, in turn, this has led to an opening to visit him on a regular basis, this was a great networking opportunity with Rural health and we look forward to working with them in the future.
A successful trip had, contacts made, networks established and reinforced. Why not join us on our next trip you will be fulfilled.
